History of Dunelm

Home furnishings giant Dunelm had its beginnings as Dunelm Mill, and was built up from a humble market stall in Leicester from which founders Bill and Jean Adderley sold soft furnishings and curtains. It quickly became a successful family textiles business and over the past 30 years has grown into an award-winning home furnishings brand, with House Beautiful magazine naming it Home Retailer of the Year three years in a row and Online Retailer of the Year 2013. The current chief executive, Will Adderley, is the son of founders Bill and Jean, and as a family run business, Dunelm prides itself on its back to basics values. With its simple philosophy of putting people first and providing style and value for money on a vast range of homewares and interior design solutions, it continues to grow, with currently more than 140 UK stores and a strong online presence.

Dunelm sells a wide range of homewares and interior design products, including bedding, quilts, kitchenware, furniture, rugs, lighting and dining products, as well as gifts, seasonal items and gift cards. Also available is a made to measure service for curtains and blinds and large furniture items. Dunelm regularly has a wide range of sale stock available with fantastic savings, making shopping with them for homeware and interior decor products even better value for money.

Dunelm is a keen charity fundraiser and Barnados is its named charity for 2013/14 and 2014/15. In 2012/13, Dunelm's fundraising efforts raised over £440,000 for the Wallace and Gromit Children's Foundation.

Store opening times differ vary. However, generally Dunelm stores (particularly super stores) are open at the following times:

Delivery Information

Dunelm offers a three hour reserve and collect service on selected items free of charge to your local store, or a range of home delivery options. A free home delivery service is offered on standard orders over £49 (otherwise £3.95 - for standard deliveries you will be notified of estimated delivery time), as well as made to measure online orders over £49 (otherwise £5.95 - these orders take up to 14 days delivery time) and furniture and large items over £199 (otherwise £9.95 - large items take up to 10 days). Express delivery is available for £5.95 on any standard order placed before 7pm, Monday to Thursday, for next day delivery, otherwise allow two working days for delivery. Some deliveries require a signature, and some remote areas are excluded from home delivery options, which are listed on the website.

Returns Policy

Dunelm offers a 28 day returns policy on unused products for a full refund or exchange, if you have the receipt and the item is in an as new resalable condition. If you don't have the receipt, you can exchange your item for another product, or credit note to the value of the lowest listed price of the product from the previous 12 months. Faulty or damaged items will be replaced or a refund can be issued if you have the receipt. Items can be returned in-store or via Dunelm's Collect+ service at parcel drop points in over 5,000 convenience stores across the UK, or via courier collection for large items. Exclusions to returns apply on made to measure products such as blinds, curtains, and upholstered furniture unless faulty, fabrics (use of the free sample service is recommended), and items such as mattresses, duvets, pillows, blankets and wallpaper unless still sealed in original packaging. Security & Reviews

Security on the Dunelm website is taken very seriously. Online payments are processed via the 3D Secure fraud prevention system and Dunelm strongly recommends that all customers making card payments with them online register with this scheme to protect their payment information. Payment is also available via PayPal.
