GettingPersonal.co.uk was founded in 2005 by friends John Smith and Giles Harridge, with the aim of providing personalised gifts and cards that aren't available on the high street. The original concept of the company was based around a personalised calendar designed to be used as an alternative to non-personalised and sometimes uninspiring corporate gifts, and it has remained a popular signature product for the company right up to the present day. The provision of personalised products means that, by its very nature, the company is informed by customer demands, and this is one of the factors that has likely contributed to the growth of the business since its inception.

In 2009 and 2010 GettingPersonal.co.uk was featured in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, an accolade that recognises the fast growth and successful expansion of private businesses. They were also recognised by the Hitwise UK Online Performance Awards as a Top 10 online Gifts and Flowers retailer in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

GettingPersonal.co.uk is currently part of The Card Factory Group, a cards and gifts retailer with a 570-plus store presence across the UK. GettingPersonal.co.uk is an online-only retailer so purchases are available round the clock. Customer service phone lines are open Monday to Friday between 9.00 and 17.30.

Delivery Information

GettingPersonal.co.uk offers delivery of cards from 49p (62p for Royal Mail 24) and gifts from £2.99 (£4.99 for Royal Mail 24).

Next day delivery is available on selected items (some personalised items are excluded) for £5.99 per card order and £6.99 per gift order on orders placed Monday to Friday. Guaranteed Saturday delivery is available on selected orders placed before 1pm on Fridays for cards and before 2pm Fridays for gifts. Saturday delivery costs £12.99 per order.

Deliveries are made by Royal Mail for standard delivery services or courier for specified or weekend deliveries or for bulky or fragile orders.

Larger orders may be subject to higher delivery charges. Costs will be calculated at checkout, based on the details of the order.

Returns Policy

As many of the products sold by GettingPersonal.co.uk are personalised items, their returns policy operates largely on a case by case basis. Damaged or faulty items will be replaced or refunded (but may be subject to approval on receipt of a photo of the damage) and all orders have a 2 hour cooling off period after ordering and before being sent to production, during which they may be cancelled. Non-personalised items can be returned for a full refund or exchange within 7 days.
